Privacy Policy

This page explains how Steam Design Tools handles local tool settings, public Steam media and analytics. Last updated: October 10, 2026.

Information We Collect

Steam Design Tools is built as a local-first browser tool. We do not ask you to sign in with Steam, and we do not collect Steam passwords, payment details, or private Steam account credentials.

The app may store tool preferences in your browser, such as selected backgrounds, crop settings, export settings, profile preview values, and other local UI choices. This information is stored on your device through browser storage so the tool can reopen with the same settings.

  • Background or asset URLs you paste into the tool.
  • Browser and device information used for security, diagnostics, and basic site operation.
  • Usage signals from analytics tools, such as visited pages, approximate region, device type, referrer, and interaction events.

Analytics

The production site loads Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to measure page use and interactions and help identify broken flows. These services may use cookies, browser identifiers, device information, approximate location, and referrers.

No advertising integration is currently configured in this app.

  • Analytics helps us improve the tool and fix confusing flows.
  • You can manage cookies and tracking protection through your browser settings.

Uploads And Exports

When you upload an image, GIF, APNG, MP4, or WebM into a local editing tool, the file is processed in your browser for preview and export. We do not upload those local files to our server unless a future feature clearly says it is sending a file elsewhere.

When the app loads public Steam CDN assets or uses a proxy route to read public media, the requested URL may be visible to the service infrastructure so the browser can display or export the asset.

Third-Party Services

The app displays public Steam community, Steam CDN, and Steam Points Shop media. Those services are operated by Valve or Steam-related infrastructure and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Steam Design Tools is not affiliated with Valve or Steam. External links may take you to third-party websites that we do not control.

Your Choices

You can clear browser storage for this site to remove locally saved tool settings. You can also use browser privacy controls, cookie settings, and tracking protection to limit analytics collection.
